THIS IS SOME STUFF THAT MYSELF, MICHAEL SD, DANIEL I PHOTOGRAPHY AND RUKON MIAH USED TO DO BACK AT OUR OLD STUDIO WHEN WE FIRST STARTED OUT. THE STUDIO WAS BASED IN EAST-LONDON , WE HAD OUR STANDARD AMATEUR KIT AND WE JUST USED TO EXPERIMENT, I RECENTLY FOUND THESE IMAGES  THAT WE CREATED AND THOUGHT  I WOULD SHARE WITH YOU GUYS.

INSPIRING RIHANNA IMAGE.

I AM NOT REALLY A BIG FAN OF RIHANNA’S PHOTOSHOOT’S BECAUSE THEY ALL SEEM A BIT MANUFACTURED AND CLICHE. I AWLAYS FEEL AS THOUGH YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT FROM, THE SAME WITH LADY GAGA TO BE HONEST BUT I MUST SAY WHEN THEY DO PUSH THE BOUNDARIES A LITTLE AND GET MORE CREATIVE  IT IS ALWAYS REFRESHING TO SEE. THE IMAGE BELOW SHOWS HER BEING VERY ECCENTRIC. I ALSO LOVE THE STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY, THE FILM FEEL ON THE POST EDIT IS AESTHETICALLY PLEASING. WHEN I LOOK AT THIS SERIES I GET INSPIRED TO TRY AND DO SOMETHING ALONG THESE LINES. I AM INTRIGUED BY THE CHAINS, BLACKS AND THE WILDNESS OF THE STYLING AND SETTING. ENJOY.

I THINK BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES DO STAND OUT FROM THE COLOR ONES BECAUSE  THE HUMAN EYE TENDS TO HAVE A TENDENCY OF LOOKIN LONGER  TRYING TO ANALYSE EVERY DETAIL OF THE IMAGE IF ITS BLACK AND WHITE. IT MAKE USE WANT TO VIEW IT FOR A LTTLE LOGER TO GET THAT FULL SATISFACTION FROM IT. HERE ARE SOME IMAGES FOR YOU GUYS TO LOOK AT AND ANALYSE. I RECENTLY DONE THESE IMAGES.

LONDON FASHION WEEK.

OKAY SO THE BIGGEST WEEK IN FASHION IS HERE AND THIS YEAR I DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE PREVIOUS. I ENJOYED RUN WAY PHOTOGRAPHY LAST YEAR BUT IT WASNT REALLY MY THING. IT DID NOT FEEL BENEFICIAL TO ME , WITH THAT BEING SAID THIS YEAR ME AND MY COUSIN BASE @ BASEMAG  DECIDED TO ATTEND AN LFW PRIVATE VIEW AND OUR CHOSEN  DESIGNER WAS @HARDY AMIES WHICH IS A MENSWEAR BRAND SPECIALISING IN TAILORED SUITS AND OTHER MENSWEAR PRODUCTS. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO A SIMPLE VIEW BUT THESE GUYS REALLY KNOW HOW TO PUT ON A SHOW. WE WERE GREETED QUITE WELCOMINGLY AT THE DOOR AND INVITED IN AFTER BEING HANDED OUT PROGRAM HANDBOOK FOR THE SHOW AND AN A3 SIZE PRINT OUT OF THE COLLECTION ON SHOW. SO THE SET UP WAS MEANT TO FEEL LIKE A PARK AND IT DID. THEY HAD A GRASS CARPET LAY OUT AND A BENCH JUST IN-FRONT OF THE  BIG TREE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CARPET TO GIVE IT THAT REALISTIC FEEL. THE MODELS ON DUTY WERE STUNNING  AND MADE IT EASY TO INTERACT AND TAKE SOME IMAGES. I WAS ALSO IMPRESSED BY THE STUFF ON DUTY SERVING OUT TEA AND BREAKFAST DELICATES AND OTHER THINGS ON THE MENU. IT WAS REALLY A NICE HIGH SOCIAL CLASS EVENT/VIEW AND I LEARNT A THING OR TWO ON HOW THE RICH DO IT, DEFINITELY SOME TIPS FOR THE FUTURE. Terminator meets Armani/Calvin Klein Edit.

Okay so it was an underwear shoot inspired by the Armani and Calvin Klein black and whites we all have seen over the past decade. The thing is i brought something different to the table in terms of scenery and theme. This particular image i want to share  was something i visualised during the shoot its more than just a commercial piece it also means to me art,contemporary and very conceptual. It just felt strong as soon as i saw it through the lens and i wanted to get a couple of frames to be satisfied that i had got something worth my while from that visual i had in my head. I took  about 10 to 15 shots but only 2 toped the bill. During the editing process i was quickly going through the phase of cleaning up the  face when i made a mistake and made it look too airbrushed. The thing is i did not use layers this time so i could not go back, it simply meant i had to start all over again, so i decided to do an edit where i can take the head off and see how but that looks while in the process of editing the head off i had just done one half of the face and it looked pretty interesting , one half of the face in cement like wall and the other normal and so i present to you the image below. view carefully and keep in mind it is still in progress.
